Gideon's 300
When
Moody Bible institute was first started, people got
involved in the ministry by investing 10 cents a
month to the institute. The Gideon’s 300 is an
opportunity for folks of like faith and practice to
be involved in our ministry.
This
can be done in a couple of ways. First and
foremost, we desire for people to get on board with
our ministry through...
Intercession
We do
ask that whenever God places our ministry upon your
minds that you lift us up in prayer. We ask that
you take our prayer card, or bookmark our website,
www.cajiuatministries.org
and keep in touch with us, check our schedule, and
pray for God’s hand to be upon us. We covet your
prayers in the area of having God’s power as we
preach and minister to churches, camps, and
Christian schools, as well as to children in our
services. Pray that we would see souls redeemed,
Christians revived, and pastors refreshed. Also, we
ask that you lift up our ministry for God’s
protection as we travel across the nation. Pray
that our vehicle would hold up, and that we would be
safe on the road. We also ask that you would pray
for God’s prompting to put our children into
full-time Christian service. Just because they
travel with us and are involved in our ministry
doesn’t always result in their committing their
lives to minister full time as their parents do.
Only God can call them and that is our prayer for
our children.

Investment
The
Lord has blessed us with a wonderful ministry where
folks are saved, Christians are challenged, and
pastors are encouraged. There have been people,
across the country, who have expressed an interest
in being involved in our ministry. That is why God
gave me the idea of the Gideon’s 300. Some folks
have already become involved through this ministry.
The Bible says that we are to walk by faith
and not by sight and this is our intent. However,
invariably, through the winter months, from
mid-November through February, and even sometimes to
May, meetings can become vary sporadic thus
decreasing our income to meet our operating costs.
The Gideon’s 300 provides a sort of steady income in
those lean months. Our desire is for 300 people
and/or churches to get involved in our ministry by
supporting us ten, twenty, or thirty dollars every
month. Actually, the donor chooses the amount.
However, the monthly gift to our ministry through
the Gideon’s 300 should not replace the donor’s
tithes and offerings to his local church. By giving
to the Lord’s work, you can experience what Jesus
expressed in Mt 6:19-21 “Lay not up for yourselves
treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth
corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where
neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where
thieves do not break through nor steal: For where
your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
When you invest in our ministry, you not only
receive the blessing of helping a servant of God be
sustained in His service, but also the assurance of
knowing that your investment will continue to reap
dividends in the years to come as souls are saved.
Your investment will be laying up for yourselves
treasures in heaven. The sacrificial and faithful
giving of God’s people has enabled us to continue to
operate and be faithful to God’s service. I pray
